Oana Ivan Happiness or nothing

Oana Ivan is the creator of Oana Ivan Gallery, which opened in January 2025 at 93 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré - in the heart of Paris's Golden Triangle. This refined space, designed in collaboration with an Italian architecture firm known for its work with luxury brands, celebrates photography and the visual arts in a cross-disciplinary approach.

The last fifteen years spent in the United States have nurtured a dense career, woven from editorial collaborations and landmark encounters with artists on the contemporary scene, most notably with the creation of Frame/Book/Magazine in 2014. This prolonged immersion has given rise to a vision, refined over time, which now finds its natural extension in the opening of her gallery. This place, both refined and demanding, is designed as a space for transmission - the reflection of an eye forged by experience, open to the international, and deeply rooted in current creation.

In the 2000s, Oana Ivan made a radical life change, leaving her country to explore a new world, seeking freedom, novelty, and artistic fulfillment. She first settled in Paris, where she instantly fell in love with the city. "There, she promised herself she would one day open a gallery of her own, a space where she could create and shape her unique universe."

She pursued further studies in Luxury Brand Management in Paris before moving to Monaco, where she earned an MBA at the International University. These were years of discovery, travel and numerous encounters. She finally settled between New York and Los Angeles, and soon found herself at the heart of the artistic and creative scene.

There, she encountered extraordinary artists and personalities such as Setsuko Nagawasa, Abdel Abdessemed, Alexandra Nechita, Aki Kuroda, Yoyo Maeght, Alexandre Allart, and Giampiero Bodino, sharpening her eye for both fashion and art. This first creation by Oana Ivan is a singular object, more than a book, more than a magazine, but an unusual object, an astonishing invention in terms of both its editorial content and its new form. For Oana, books are as essential as the air we breathe; the pleasure of touching and reading on paper becomes a necessity. Many renowned figures, such as Gilles Bensimon, contributed to the success of these works.

The content, rooted in elegance and an uncompromising search for excellence, reflected a deeply personal universe and always started from an intimate perspective. For Oana, no image is ever silent. Every work observed is a source of emotion and reflection. The success is perfect, but this form of creation is not enough...a place, a space must allow Oana Ivan to fully express her personality.

In 2020, as the COVID pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Oana Ivan experienced a turning point: she decided it was time to open her own space in Paris to develop her visual, aesthetic, and artistic vision. She chose to be at the heart of the capital, securing the magical location of rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
